Abstract: The paper proposes a simulation package for dynamic analyses of vectorial controlled induction motor. It is built under MATLAB with SIMULINK program environment and it consists of state transformation (a, b, c-a, b), system transformation (a, b, c-d, q), induction motor models, mechanical load, robust-adaptive flux observer, rotor speed estimator (MRAS), rotor resistance identification, controller. Each element of the whole system is represented as a separate Simulink block and it can be independently simulated or connected to the others in order to analyze their interaction. A diskette with the most simple version (school-version) of VCIM library is available and can be found at the authors.

Abstract. The paper presents the results of a first step to an automatic reading of the indications of the measurement devices placed on an automatization panel supervised by a TV camera linked to a computer. The objective of the stage was to interpret the indications of a single device, its image being well centered in the analyzed frame. The monochrome scanned image is digital processed. The image is binarized, the objects are isolated, the indicator and the minimum value mark are identified on the image. The analog indicated value is computed based on the angle done by the device indicator in the image and supplementary information stored about the measure device.

Abstract: If the rotor flux is applied as criterion in the vectorial command of induction machines, the value and direction of the flux need to be know. Starting from two mathematical models for induction motor, this paper analyses at theoretical view point and through simulation the performances of a conventional simulator for rotor flux concerning to influence with temperature of the rotor resistance. Since, all this classic methods do not seem to provide acceptable performances, flux observers were used to measure the flux.

Abstract. This paper proposes a system for printer sharing between 2 to 4 computers. This system doesn't need an extra power supply and the performances are mainly the performances of the Microchip's PIC 16C84 microcontroller which provides the best price/performance rate.

Abstract. This paper presents the use of an Intel N80C196KC microcontroller to control the speed of a DC Escap micromotor. The approach emphasises the application of the microcontroller as a flexible data acquisition and control device. DC motor under microcontroller systems control is an important component in industrial process control applications. Presented below is a control scheme and assembly routines to regulate the motor speed under conditions of varying load by software feedback control.

Abstract: This paper will search the best TCM scheme for a codec with two states and a bit rate Rb=4 bits/symbol. Three expanded constellations will be analysed:16-QAM, 32-QAM (CCITT) and 18-AMPM with partially overlapped signals. All these schemes will be compared using AWGN channels for a Pb=10-5 bit error probability.     Back to top

Abstract Magnetic field modelling for electro - thermal energy converter is essential in calculation of total losses and to estimate warm developed in massif ferromagnetic windings. Knowlegement of local magnetic field intensity give the possibility to evaluate local current density , volume distribution of electrical power in material.

Abstract. The paper presents a DC Electrical Drive controlled using Philips 80C552 microcontroller. The power converter is a full bridge converter achieved with bipolar power transistors. To obtain a variable bipolar voltage at the DC motor input the bipolar Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique is applied. The microcontroller give the digital control signal to the power converter and read the information from the digital transducer. Also the microcontroller periodically read the local keyboard and write to the local display. The interface circuits were developed using the simulation package MicroSim PSPICE.

Abstract. In the present work the author offer some constructive solutions of the hybrid motors resulted from the successive transformations of the rotating induction motors. The board effect, caused by the finite dimensions armatures and also by the longer air gap, is known and estimated using mathematical relations applied to the linear motors. It has been tested the expression of the secondary plate resistance, for the hybrid construction, with a bilateral toroidal inductor, when the end effect is not neglected.
